The
2025 Hungarian MotoGP will take place in a village in Veszprém county, Hungary called Balatonfőkajár, on August 24 after a 33-year absence.
What to know about the Hungarian MotoGP
The first Hungarian Grand Prix was held in 1990 on the Hungaroring and after an absence of one year, the circuit reappeared on the MotoGP calendar in 1992 before disappearing until 2025.
Instead of Hungaroring, Balaton Park has been included in the calendar to host the MotoGP in August 2025 and the track is designed to host regional, and international races. The Balaton Park was opened in May 2023.

The Austrian MotoGP, which was the 13th round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship calendar, took place on August 17.
The race was won by Ducati's Marc Marquez, while Fermin Aldeguer of Ducati finished second and Aprilia's Marco Bezzecchi secured the third spot.
Standings
Marc Marquez is still placed at the top of the 2025 MotoGP riders' standings, having won an impressive nine races in the current season.
His brother, Alex, and Bagnaia are placed second and third, respectively, as the three Ducati riders battle for the MotoGP world championship.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati are placed at the top, having won 10 races this season, followed by Aprilia and KTM, respectively.
Favourites
The main contenders to win the 2025 Hungarian MotoGP are Marc Marquez, Alex Marquez and Bagnaia as the trio has been very consistent so far, as they compete for the championship.
Fourth-placed Bezzecchi will be brimming with confidence after securing a podium spot in Austria, while eighth-placed Aldeguer will be keen to go one step further and win the race after his recent second-place finish.

“I don’t even know how I did it. There are those days in which you take to the track and everything works perfectly," Aldeguer said after finishing second at the 2025 Austrian MotoGP.
"I had the perfect feeling from the get-go and the more I rode, the faster I got. It was a fantastic yet unexpected race because this Austrian track has never been among my favourites.
"The goal is still the top five, but today, for a moment, we even thought about the win.”
